interview with my mom:
1. what was i like in the first 5 years of my life?
"you leanred things very quickly...talked very quickly. you were smarter than most kids your afe. very funny."
2. what things did i love, what games did i like to play, what did you think was unique about me?
"you, uhh...i dont know. you liked to play outdoors, ride bikes, play ball. you were into ninja turtles and power rangers. you always got along well in groups and always seemes to take charge. othr kids would always seem to congregate around you."
3. what did you think i would become when i grew up?
"some type of job where you would be a leader and not a do-er. you were always a leader."
question to my friends:
-what do you think are my greatest gifts/strengths?
catherine (friend of 4 years): "umm...your good looks and charm."
mike (friend of 12 years): "you never cease to dissappoint me, thats all i got to say."
dan (friend of 13 years): "charisma=strength" (he write this over instant messanger)
jill (girlfriend of 2 years): "youre reliable, generous, you put others before yourself, trustworthy, compassionate, responsible, kind."
jeff (friend of 8 years): "youve always been great at any sport you tried and always seemed to take over."
my weekend activity:
as a child, and especially a teenager, ive always loved sports. in high school, i was on the basketball, football, and baseball teams, having a starting position in all but baseball. i havent played on a team sport since high school until recently. my friend from work is a long-time rugby player and asked if id like to join the indoor, winter league with him. ive played rugby a few times in the past but never anything serious. this past friday was my first game playing with them, and i loved it. its a lot different than the sports i played in the past, but if i had to compare it, i would say it was a mix between football and soccer. you need to have the strength and abilities of a football player but have the conditioning of a soccer player. i played at least half of the game since i am still new to the sport but i have a feeling that i will catch on quicly and hopefully be an asset to the team. we losst the game by only 2 scores, which wasnt that bad considering most of the teams on the league consist of people who have been playing rugby their whole lives andd half of our team is fairly new to the sport. i cant wait til next friday when we have our next game.
